In short

  • You must be 18 or older to use Lemix.
  • Lemix is free. It has daily limits, and we may change what is free or how much you can use. We tell you before a change that makes Lemix worse for you.
  • The meanings, examples and recordings in Lemix are written by AI and can be wrong.
  • Do not misuse Lemix, and do not type personal information into the search.
  • Dictionary entries in Lemix belong to Lemix.
  • You can stop using Lemix and delete your account at any time.

1. Who runs Lemix

Lemix is run by Soroush Ghezeli, a private individual based in Türkiye, who does not offer Lemix as a business or trader. If that changes, for example before any paid feature is introduced, we will update these terms and tell you first. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean the person who runs Lemix.

Contact: support@lemix.app.

2. Who can use Lemix

You must be 18 or older. By using Lemix you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

3. Your account

You need an email address to have a Lemix account. You sign in with your email address and a one time code sent to it. Keep access to your email account safe: anyone who can read your email can sign in to your Lemix account. Tell us at support@lemix.app if you think someone else has used your account.

By using Lemix, you agree to these terms.

4. The service

Lemix helps you learn words with cards and scheduled reviews. It is free. To keep it running, Lemix limits how much you can add, look up and review in a day, and how many requests you can make in a minute. You see a message when you reach a limit.

We may change Lemix, including its features and its limits, for a good reason: to control costs, to prevent abuse, to improve the app, or because the law requires it. A change never costs you money. If a change makes Lemix noticeably worse for you, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.

5. AI content

The meanings, example sentences, translations, word breakdowns and spoken recordings in Lemix are created by AI. They can contain mistakes. Do not rely on them for anything important, and they are not professional advice. Lemix is a dictionary for adults: where a word has a vulgar or sexual meaning, Lemix includes that meaning. Your review schedule is not decided by AI.

6. The Lemix dictionary

Dictionary entries, examples and recordings in Lemix are created by Lemix and belong to Lemix. You may use them to learn, inside the app.

You let Lemix use what you type into the search to provide and improve Lemix, including creating new dictionary entries. When you look up a word Lemix does not have yet, Lemix may create an entry for it, and that entry is then available to everyone who uses Lemix. Do not type personal information, yours or anyone else’s, into the search.

7. What you must not do

Do not:

  • use Lemix for anything illegal, or to harm, harass or threaten anyone;
  • type into the search anything illegal, hateful, threatening or sexually explicit about a real person, or any personal information about someone else;
  • try to get around Lemix’s limits, access other people’s accounts or data, or break or overload the service;
  • copy the dictionary in bulk, or access Lemix with bots, scrapers or other automated tools, except through interfaces Lemix provides for that purpose;
  • reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

8. How we check content

Lemix checks the words you look up automatically before it creates a dictionary entry, and it refuses text that is not a real word of the language. We review entries ourselves when someone reports them and when our automated quality checks flag them. We may remove or correct any entry, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we suspend or close your account, we tell you why by email, unless the law stops us.

9. Reporting a problem

If you see a dictionary entry or a recording that is wrong, offensive or illegal, tell us at support@lemix.app. Include the word and what is wrong with it. We look at every report and fix or remove the entry when needed.

If you report content as illegal, also give your name and email address, explain why you believe it is illegal, and confirm that your report is accurate and made in good faith. We confirm that we received your report, tell you what we decided and why, and tell you how to challenge the decision.

If you disagree with a decision we made about your account or about content you reported, write to support@lemix.app and we will review it.

10. Contact points

For users: support@lemix.app. For authorities, including under the EU Digital Services Act: privacy@lemix.app. Both contact points work in English.

11. Ending your use of Lemix

You can stop using Lemix at any time and delete your account as described at lemix.app/delete-account.

We may close your account with reasonable notice, or straight away if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We may also stop offering Lemix altogether; if we do, we tell you in advance by email or in the app.

12. Our responsibility

We work to keep Lemix running and correct, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and nothing in them takes away any right you have under the law of the country where you live that cannot be taken away by agreement.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We change the date at the top when we do. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app or by email before it applies, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.

14. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye. This does not take away the protection you have under the law of the country where you live. You can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
